Account Executive – PR and Social, Plaster Creative Communications

Job description

We’re looking for a flexible, driven, fun loving Account Exec with a love for​

events, music and festivals.

​This position is within our consumer team, working on Bristol’s best festivals and events around the UK including the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, The Downs Bristol, Bristol Harbour Festival, Upfest, Bristol Sounds and NASS.

Working with the team on managing all the communication channels for these events, you’ll be as happy in the office writing social posts, press content and liaising with journalists and clients as you are running around an event site creating amazing live social media content.

We’re looking for a tenacious, team orientated people person. ​

You’ll need to be prepared to work long hours over the summer including weekends in return for money can’t buy life experiences.

Our ideal candidate will be prepared to put their all into this role. You’ll need to be creative, be able to think on your feet, work as a part of team but also be able to work independently and dedicated to making our clients’ events as successful as possible.

We need someone who thrives on pushing boundaries to achieve clients’ aims, who wants to build excellent relationships with media and opinion formers, clients and fellow team members to deliver great results.

We specialise in the events and technology sectors meaning that we can quite often be found with journalists backstage at a festival, or launching a new technology on the other side of the world.

Person specification

Are you a Plasterer?

If you have a can-do attitude, love a varied timetable, have passion for writing, excellent communication skills and are a bit of a perfectionist, then you might just fit the mould.

Ideally you have a PR, media or other degree-level education (this isn’t an essential if what you lack in a uni career you make up for in life experience), an excellent grasp of grammar and punctuation, you’re not afraid to pick up the phone to a journalist and have a positive sunny disposition.

Everyone at Plaster has their own distinctive style and personality but it’s a certain joie de vivre that glues us together. You’ll love the job more if you are passionate about the arts, music, technology and culture. Our events roster veers from air shows to art exhibitions, music festivals to venues. ​

We’re a digitally savvy bunch and we’re all passionate about good prose, a nicely written website and the perfect pun.
